About nitroglycerin neutraliser
The neutraliser makes sure the explosive mixing tanks do not deteriorate and are ready for the next process. To neutralise the acids, the neutraliser fills the vat with the specified components, drains the washing water, and does all of it to a written procedure without departing from the set sequence of steps.
The neutraliser tests the nitroglycerin mixture, prepares and tests chemical samples, and documents the analysis results, so that the condition of each vessel is recorded rather than judged by eye.
The neutraliser uses personal protective equipment throughout, and health and safety standards govern every step of the work, because the consequences of an error with explosives cannot be undone. Detailed requirements, including on-the-job training, are set by the employer and by national explosives regulations, and the basis is knowledge of health and safety rules and of handling chemical samples.
