As an oilseed presser, you will operate hydraulic and mechanical equipment to extract oil from oilseeds such as rapeseed, sunflower seed, and soybean. You will work in food processing facilities where efficiency, safety, and quality control are paramount. Your responsibilities include tending to oil extraction equipment, managing seed crushing operations, monitoring and regulating pressure systems, and ensuring that all hygiene and food safety standards are maintained throughout the process. You will monitor equipment operation, perform routine maintenance, and manage the flow of materials through the pressing system. The work requires technical knowledge of oil extraction processes and strict adherence to food manufacturing regulations including HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
