About gas processing plant operator

Gas processing plant operations come down to flow and pressure. The operator works the distribution equipment, keeps the pressure in the pipelines within its correct range, and monitors the plant against the delivery schedule and the demand on it. Faults in the pipeline infrastructure are detected and reported: a pressure trend that should not be moving, a reading out of range, a leak found on a round. Gas cylinders are handled where the plant fills or dispatches them.

Compliance is continuous for a gas operator. The work follows the rules on pipeline transport and on fuel distribution systems, and incidents in fuel distribution are reported as the regulations require.
