About attraction operator

The operator works the control panel of the amusement ride, checks the safety mechanisms before the start — restraints, bars and grab handles fastened, interlocks working — and starts the run only once everything is confirmed. The operator also controls the ride's communication functions.

The operator looks after the health and safety of visitors and that of the staff, passes on information and the rules before boarding, enforces the height and age limits, and refuses a ride where the rules are not met. First aid is given, any supplies needed are provided, and an incident is reported at once to the person supervising the area.

The operator carries out opening and closing procedures in the designated area: inspecting the ride before anybody is admitted, a test run, and after closing the securing of the equipment and the records. Emergency procedures are known — a stop at height, evacuation, loss of power — and safety across the amusement park is overseen.
