About product quality controller
Checking at the right moment is essential. An inspection before production catches a material fault that would otherwise be built into every piece; one during production catches a drifting process while it can still be corrected; one after it catches what the other two missed. The controller checks product quality on the production line and monitors the line itself.
Supervising and auditing extend beyond single pieces. The controller oversees quality control, monitors compliance with production quality standards, performs quality audits, and works from a knowledge of quality control systems. An audit asks whether the process is capable of producing a good piece at all, which is a different question from whether this piece is good.
The controller works inside the production team rather than beside it. The role involves working within assembly line teams and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
