About belt builder
The product is built in layers, and the layers are what give it its strength. A belt has to carry load, bend continuously around pulleys and not stretch, and those properties come from how many plies it has, how they are oriented and how well they are bonded. The builder lays up the rubber sheets, cuts them and bonds them together.
Accuracy decides whether the belt is usable. A belt cut slightly wrong runs off its pulleys; one bonded unevenly delaminates in service. The builder measures the finished belt, examines product quality, and reports defective production materials.
Safety is specific to the plant. The builder uses personal protective equipment and works to the machinery safety standards. These standards set the safety requirements specific to each type of machine.
