About mineral crushing operator
The operator moves stones to the crushers, feeds the machines with minerals and supplies the machine with the right material. Stone blocks are manipulated into position, and knowledge of the types of stone being processed tells the operator how a given rock will break: what is brittle, what is abrasive and what will clog.
The operator watches the crushing process and adjusts the machine's setting system, since the gap and the speed decide the size of what comes out.
The operator examines the quality of the product and confirms that the end products conform to what was specified, which in aggregates means grading: the proportion of each size in the output. Problems are solved at the machine, for example when the crusher jams. Personal protective equipment such as hearing protection, goggles, a dust mask and a helmet is used throughout, because crushing produces noise, dust and flying fragments.
