About bank manager
Policy is the first instrument. The manager decides what the bank will and will not do, weighing risk as well as profit. Analysing business plans, controlling the financial resources and working from financial analysis are what these decisions rest on; banking activity and securities are the subject knowledge underneath.
Compliance is part of the same responsibility: the manager answers for the bank's activities being lawful. Banking activities cover the full range of products offered, from personal and corporate banking to investment banking, private banking, insurance, foreign exchange trading, commodity trading and trading in securities.
The role also covers the staff. The manager manages the staff and maintains effective cooperation between them. The manager takes responsibility for business management, and corporate social responsibility and the organisation's own standards shape the decisions.
