About textile dyer
The work is execution to a specification, and the specification is a recipe. The dyer applies the recipes describing how the dyeing mixtures are prepared.
Running the machine is where the colour is actually produced. The dyer tends the textile dyeing machines, loads the material so the liquor can reach all of it, and holds the cycle: a dyeing is a curve of temperature and time, and a deviation in the middle of it cannot be corrected at the end.
Sampling and recipe work are the technical side. The dyer develops the dyeing recipes for textile materials, produces samples and calculates what a full batch will need from what a sample did, and works from the properties of textile materials and the chemical treatment of textile materials. Ensuring compliance with labour standards belongs to the role.
