About director of compliance and information security

Policy is the first instrument. The director implements the ICT security policy, works from the ICT security standards and from cybersecurity, and ensures compliance with the policy once it exists, checking regularly that the organisation actually follows it in practice.

Risk is how the priorities are set. The director implements risk management in ICT, identifying and assessing the risks to the organisation's information technology and deciding, together with management, how each one is addressed. The regulatory ground moves continuously. The director follows changes in the legislation. Keeping up to date with regulations means knowing the current rules in the field and applying them in practice. ICT security standards, such as ISO standards, set out the requirements the organisation's systems have to meet.

None of it is delivered alone. The director leads a team and works with colleagues across the organisation, cooperating with them on the compliance and security measures that affect their work.
