About business journalist
The subject is what makes this a specialism. The journalist works from economics, which is what allows a figure to be put in proportion: whether a result is large for that company, whether a rate is unusual, whether a trend is a trend or a single quarter. A business story reported without that knowledge repeats what an announcement said.
