provide radio services in emergencies

Provide radio services in emergencies such as when the ship has to be abandoned, when fire breaks out on board the ship, or when radio installations break down partially or fully. Take preventive measures to protect the safety of the ship and personnel against hazards related to radio equipment, including electrical and non-ionising radiation hazards.
