As a cashier, you will be the final point of contact between your business and customers, responsible for accurately processing sales transactions and ensuring positive customer experiences. Your day-to-day responsibilities include operating the cash register, receiving payments in various forms (cash, card, digital payments), issuing receipts, calculating and returning correct change, and processing refunds or exchanges when necessary. Beyond the register, you will be expected to provide excellent customer service, answer questions about products or services, suggest alternatives when items are unavailable, and resolve basic customer concerns. You are also responsible for maintaining cash drawer accuracy, preventing theft through vigilant monitoring, and following security protocols.
